A cross is floating on the river. Martin Luther, while reminding us of his speech at the Diet of Worms, stands just next to Jesus, pointing to him. Several people surrounding them are watching the event of Jesus' crucufixion. All of them are figures borrowed from Yun-Bok Shin's genre paintings.
